The American Exchange Network (AMX) is one of the leading companies in the business to business trade industry. Established in 1982, today AMS has affiliates around the world with a trading network of thousands of companies worldwide. AMS is affiliated with both the National Association of Trade Exchanges and the International Reciprocal Trade Association.

Every Business needs the productions and services of other companies. Today, trade is a high tech, high speed and high profit business where products are bought and sold using trade dollars instead of cash. Transactions are recorded electronically through the trade exchange using high tech software much like traditional currency. Organized trade is the opportunity for a business to pay expenses with the wholesale value of its product or service, rather than with retail cash profits.

WHAT IS TRADE?
Throughout history, trading has been an important part of survival. In fact, barter is older than
cash, history, the foundation of our present economy. Operating on the theory that most
companies could consistently barter 10-15% of their business, a very real savings is realized by
cutting costs with substitute cash flow. This produces increased profits. Today’s trade
transactions run from major market advertising and real estate, to carpet cleaning and hotel
accommodations. Industrial manufacturers, retailers and service-oriented businesses are linked
through the trade exchange.

WHY TRADE?
Every business needs products and services from other companies. Like most businesses, your
probably accustomed to paying cash for these products and services, and trying to balance budget
restrictions with increased costs. As a member of the American Exchange Network, you can trade
your products, skills and services for your business needs. Large and small companies across the
nation trade their goods and services every day, saving cash. Organized trade is the opportunity
for a business to pay overhead with the wholesale value of its products or services, rather than
with retail cash income.

HERE IS AN EXAMPLE OF A SMALL TRADE
A jeweler sell watches for $100.00 a piece and they cost him $50.00 each. He would like to
purchase printing for $100.00. He has two choices: 1) trade one watch for the printing 2) Pay cash
for the printing. If he trades, the printing costs him the replacement value of the watch, $50.00. If he
pays cash, the printing costs $100.00. Doesn’t it make sense to trade?
WHAT PART DOES THE AMERICAN EXCHANGE NETWORK PLAY IN TRADE?
The American Exchange Network plays an integral part in arranging counter trade agreements. Our
primary responsibility is to solicit select businesses that have proven themselves reputable in the
business community. They must operate with total honesty and have a reputation that is above
reproach. These businesses must also have products or services that meet the specific or
anticipated needs of our existing clients. We also assume the responsibility of assisting these
companies in promoting their goods and services within the trade community through monthly
newsletters, trade shows and business symposiums. AMX members, together, form a network to
trade their goods and services to improve their competitive edge and promote each other. We all
grow together.

TRADING WILL BRING YOU NEW BUSINESS
As a member of AMX, you will be introduced to a larger market and will be provided the opportunity
to make new and valuable business connections. You will be making sales you otherwise would not
have made, and you will save cash in the process. AMX is a third party record keeper, like a bank or
credit card company and as such, issues instant credits for your business. When you let our
exchange handle your transactions, you eliminate late payments, making your accounting easy and
accurate. In addition to counter trading, we will show you how to maximize your trade dollars that
will develop cash sales. As the AMX staff, concentrates on directed growth; we limit the number of
businesses that offer the same products and services; matching supply and demand. This means
that you will actually have less competition and fewer hassles. We emphasize limited exclusivity for
our clients. Ordinarily we will not sign on “like” businesses unless there is a specific need for the
additional volume.
