Israeli Martyrs one of the most significant paintings of the twentieth century, painted in 1972 by renowned American artist and inventor, John Pitre. This painting was commissioned as a tribute to the massacred Israeli athletes at the Olympic Games in Munich, Germany and was used as a fundraising tool for Jewish charities. With an appraised value of $7,000,000 in the 1970’s it raised $3,000,000 in less than three hours at an event in Miami Beach, and sold millions of copies.
